Services

Our services model the natural science of oral teachings, including researching cooperative sustainability practices. Services follow a cradle-to-cradle circular model which is the full cycle of a creative process. It is no longer optional for organizations to just think about what they need to do or try and be sustainable. The time for efficient action is now. A guiding model and framework is available through our services. An advantage of our services is that we are able to provide whole measures and mappings to a variety of applications.

Philosophy

Everything is related and operating in a whole system. The services are aligned to provide whole measures of assessing needs, and approaching each situation in a way that is on a trajectory of balancing with Nature. Our services are focused in a similar manner as to mimic nature.

Process

To provide a deep understanding, our services focus on finding a catalyst zone within an application. The catalyst zone is an area in a natural ecosystem where knowledge is traded, mixed and integrated before returning to its point of origin. An example of a catalyst zone is brackish water; the area where fresh water and salt water mix. The zone is often called “the intellect of the place” or the “place of natural selection”. By findings and understanding where the catalyst zone exists, knowledge can be extracted and therefore communicated for effective decision making.

A challenge that is revealed in applications is the need to re-learn and re-educate that we function in a whole system that includes the catalyst zone. Current models often divide applications into individual components which lack the inclusion of the catalyst zone. Our process takes a multi-stage strategy to approach this challenge by identifying and working with the catalyst zone.

First Step

Time is a valuable resource that is non-renewable. Services provided by Braided Traditions are applicable to a wide variety of projects and industries. We work with clients in many fields on diverse applications, but that doesn't mean the services are for everyone. To be most efficient with our clients, as well as ourselves, we offer the following questions:

  • Have you been looking for ways to make your project or organization more congruent with its use of resources and how that can help to be more socially responsible?

  • Have you been trying to find, or ever considered finding, an accurate measurement as to how efficient your project or organization really is?

  • Has your project or organization been ‘off balance’ for some time and no matter what is done it just doesn't seem to help?

  • Do you have a strong intention to understand the entire ‘ecosystem’ of your project or organization and what changes can be made to have it functioning in harmony with both internal and external resourcess?

  • Do you have a project that has been stagnant or continually plagued with scheduling and budget overruns or staff that keeps turning over?
If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions above, then our services can be of great assistance and value to you, your project, or your organization. If the answers are ‘no’ to all, then no sense in us wasting your time, or ours.

Our Services include:

  • Whole system nature-based consulting for organizations and groups

  • This service uses similar philosophies and principles from a variety of disciplines such as permaculture, biomimicry, cradle to cradle, whole system analysis and the natural science of oral teachings. Our combined discipline approach provides both intuitive and logical viewpoints to the applied application. We use a universal and integrated translating system based on a concentric model known as the Renewal Trails cosmology to generate, position, and integrate viewpoints. The cosmology can be applied to any organization or group situation and environment. The benefits of applying the Renewal Trails cosmology is that it can address the whole of any business, market, regional or community environment and allows for continuous changing business climate, as markets expand and contract through cycles.

    Examples of previous projects:

    • Source code analysis of software and sustainability reports in relationship to nature's compatibility and resource efficiency for awareness and effectiveness.

    • Consulting that provides continuous system identification of the lineage, relatedness, and compatibility to a project with nature's resources. Identifying both the responsibility and irresponsibility to the environmental connection. This can include changes in ownership of businesses, stewardship, community and regional reservoirs, damns, wind farms, eco-villages, eco-minded buildings and public policy.

  • Organizational evaluations, analysis, strategy and scorecard reporting

  • This service brings the Renewal Trails cosmology into an organization as a stand-alone, collaborative, or co-operative model (such as LEED or SITES). The outline of the Renewal Trails cosmology is an integrated translating system based on a concentric model that is used as a baseline for evaluations, analysis and strategy making. It can also be used to interpret a current situation from an existing language (business, standards, etc) to a language of what is naturally available. This is commonly referred to as eco-efficiency and eco-effectiveness. Scorecard creation and reporting makes use of the Renewal Trails cosmology concentric model by applying standards and measurements to the particular project. This provides full benefit to a linear implementation that might already be underway as well as improvements to a project. Various levels of evaluation and analysis can be provided to fit appropriate needs.

    Examples of previous projects:

    • Soil conservation practices that can minimize erosion and rebuild ecosystems.

    • Agricultural plotting for crop rotations and repetitive field trials.

    • Ecosystem regeneration such as wildlife preserves, parks, local, and national lands.

    • Commercial and residential building construction, planning, and manufacturing recommendations.

    • Full Product lifecycle evaluations.

  • Research for identifying input/output measures into project applications

  • This service includes collaborate advisory roles in projects for analysis and profiling of a holistic health strategies used for businesses, regions, or zone areas. The research provides suggestions to what needs to be added and subtracted from a pattern or system. Research conclusions can be used to provide remedies, implementations, and ongoing strategies.

    Examples of previous projects:

    • Public relation event analysis, public perception and presentations for national agriculture conventions.

    • Setting relationships from external to internal environments to maximize design efficiency and alignment for buildings. Scientific projects that require intuitive representation for nature's view such as agricultural greenhouse, field trials, planning and scorecard tracking.

    • Integrating natural climate controlled environments to benefit from natural features and infusions. This can be done in such places as office spaces, homes, and buildings.

    • Ecosystem observations and scouting for regenerative qualities as used in Oral Traditions, that can be used as input into other sciences and evaluations processes for government and non-government purposes.

  • Living in balance: alignment services for whole holistic health including personal, business, industry, property and ecosystems

  • This service directly adds the Oral teaching components for learning outcomes, which include emotional and spiritual aspects, to an already transitional experience. Natural learning outcomes are relatedness, accomplishment, mimicry (teachers), movement, recording, landscape, and testing. The service can be provided in both an informal or formal format in several types of venues (natural settings and/or appropriate indoor location). Officiating services are provided from a nature-based orientation and are not of a religious or cultural affiliation.

    Examples of previous projects:

    • Bringing the intelligence of a place, dwelling or area into natural alignment for buyers/sellers, owners, or occupants for such activities as real estate transactions, renovations, Trust management, Trust term drafting.

    • Bonding (weddings) or naming ceremonies in nature, funeral-type services, and blessings for setting the intent of a space or gathering.

    • Dream awakening, vision questing retreats, ceremonial dance and festival.

    • Classroom and in-the-field trainings that are focused on using terms, language, and concepts that are part of natural mimicry.

  • Integrative experiences for organizations, groups, and individuals

  • This service offers experiences for managers, decision makers, teams, departments, and students that break out of the classroom setting and give a full reflective experience in nature. An integrative experience incorporates, and makes available to each participant, the opening for breaking down the barriers of separation while working within the Renewal Trails cosmology as an integrated translating system based on a concentric model. Integrative experiences do not have a defined outcome, as each is unique, but instead allow participates to measure their learned outcomes in a variety of ways. Natural learning outcomes are relatedness, accomplishment, mimicry (teachers), movement, recording, landscape, and testing.

    Examples of previous projects:
